Tony Khan, who oversees All Elite Wrestling, is rather passionate about his work but as a billionaire, he also savors his spare time watching the popular series, Big Bang Theory.
The sitcom had a robust run of 279 episodes spread over 12 successful seasons that aired between 2006 and 2019. It humorously explored the lives of several physicists and their ambitious actress neighbor.
Although its airing has come to an end, it persistently graces the screens as re-runs. While conversing with TV Insider, Khan articulated how AEW had sparked his interest in the sitcom, stating:
“The lead-in prompted me to become an ardent Big Bang Theory admirer. This show is indeed brilliant. I hadn’t encountered the series before relocating AEW Dynamite to TBS.”
The multibillionaire Khan also shared another of his fandoms – Star Wars. He recalled a memory from when he watched Episode 3: Revenge of the Sith, prior to an AEW Rampage episode. He shared:
“I have a deep fondness for Star Wars. Many of these films are the precursors to our shows. My personal favorite was perhaps Revenge of the Sith. Once for an episode ending, I was doing a post before Rampage commenced one evening, something along the lines of, Darth Sidious has just stumbled upon Anakin Skywalker’s burnt remains after the Duel on Mustafar, insinuating that Revenge of the Sith is nearing its end and it’s time for the Friday night Rampage. I believe that was quite a memorable one.”
At present, Khan is getting ready for AEW x NJPW: Forbidden Door which will take place later this month with participation from CMLL and STARDOM.
