Tony Khan, the head honcho of All Elite Wrestling (AEW), has lobbed accusations at WWE for engaging in contract meddling. Based on Khan’s statements, it is evident that he trusts these rear dealings have been in operation for a considerable duration.
Back in the early 2023, Khan boldly put forth allegations stating that select AEW wrestlers had reportedly been approached by WWE with an intention to meddle with their existing contracts, enticing them to violate these agreements.
Identifying specifics, Khan opted to leave out the names of the particular AEW performers who disclosed this to him. However, he emphasized that he had received reports from his team that WWE was keen on encouraging AEW stars to abandon their contractual obligations.
While being a part of a recent installment of the “Dan LeBatard Show”, Khan once again reiterated these allegations insinuating that WWE’s alleged manipulative conduct is currently still in place. Khan made this point clear by stating,
“Even now, this is a persisting issue. I retain all my rights pertaining to this matter, but it seems clear that such actions haven’t ceased. That’s as far as I’ll go on this matter.”
In the recent past, it has emerged that the wrestling duo Lucha Bros are expected to bid farewell to AEW once their contract terms end, with their next likely destination being WWE.
WWE’s roster already has previous AEW performers such as the reigning Undisputed WWE Universal Champion, Cody Rhodes, NXT Champion Ethan Page, Jade Cargill, Shawn Spears, and Lexis King.
