Kyle Fletcher, during his recent episode on the “Good Karma Wrestling” podcast, expressed his appreciation for the ongoing support he has received from Don Callis in All Elite Wrestling (AEW). He emphasized Callis’s significant influence through the course of his AEW heel run.
Fletcher stated, “Don has been one of my big supporters over the past year since joining the Family. It’s hard to pinpoint on one thing, but probably the biggest impact he’s had is on me being a bad guy. I’ve never been committed to this kind of role before or in such a position. Every week it feels like he’s coming to me with something he’s seen or something that he remembers from what he saw back in the day and is like, ‘Do you think you could do something with this?’ That’s probably where he’s come in clutch the most.”
On a separate note, AEW CEO Tony Khan addressed the negative viewers’ reactions to the Death Riders plot during the latest AEW Dynasty media call. He shed light on how he integrates fans’ feedback into AEW programming, while keeping an eye on social media, TV ratings, and other business indicators.
Khan expressed, “I think that fan’s feedback is very important, probably the most consistent feedback we get week-to-week is in the form of hearing directly from the fans. I think also realizing that there are a lot of fan opinions that are shared, there are a lot of fan opinions that are polarizing. I do think our fans have given us great feedback. I feel like the sentiment about AEW products, right now going into Dynasty, is maybe the best it’s been in many years. And that is really something that, going into Dynasty, I’m really proud of.”
