Tony Khan Addresses AEW ‘Face Of The Revolution’ Absence, Anthony Bowens Hypes His Return

Since The Acclaimed broke up in January, Anthony Bowens hasn’t made an appearance on AEW TV.

During his recent conversation with Denise Salcedo, Bowens sparkled excitement about his impending comeback to AEW TV. However, he suggested that the precise schedule of his comeback is still in the dark.

Bowens stated, All I can say is that you are looking at the ‘Pride of Professional Wrestling,’ AEW’s resident Five-Tool ‘Player.’ When I make my comeback, when I appear on the screen, that is a mystery. I know when the perfect moment is, and you just have to stay engaged. You need to tune into Dynamite, engage with Collision, and follow the pay-per-views. You never know when the ‘Five-Tool Player’ is going to make an appearance.

In a recent media call leading up to AEW Revolution 2025, AEW President Tony Khan commented on the omission of the “Face of the Revolution” ladder match that hasn’t been included since 2023. This competition involved several wrestlers vying for a chance at the TNT title.

Khan noted, We have a plethora of incredible matches in the company currently, and we’ve showcased some fantastic ladder matches. It’s all about timing. I don’t want to overload the schedule with too many ladder matches, or too many matches of the same kind and become monotonous. You will witness great ladder matches in AEW. Over the years we’ve had some real masterpieces, and the Face of the Revolution ladder match has showcased some brilliant matches. However, it’s about assigning the right people to the right settings at the right moments.”
