Bret Hart has reportedly been wanting to join AEW as an agent but was turned down by the company.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that although the story is technically true, it isn’t a new story, and Hart himself considers it “overblown” since it’s old news.

In 2019, Hart spoke with AEW about becoming an agent. AEW President Tony Khan wanted to use Hart as a television character instead of giving him a backstage role. The Hitman then made a similar offer to WWE which was also turned down. In both offers, Hart wanted to work from the comfort of his home instead of hitting the road with talents.

Yesterday, Robert Roode was reportedly spotted in Detroit for this weekend’s WWE SummerSlam event. Roode has been on the sidelines since June 2022 and underwent two neck fusion surgeries (one in November, and one in May 2023).

WWE SummerSlam takes place tomorrow in Detroit, and it is being reported that Logan Paul vs. Ricochet is set to kick off the show.

The reason for the match opening SummerSlam is to allow Paul to leave for Detroit early so that he can attend his brother Jake Paul’s fight against Nate Diaz, which takes place the same night in Dallas.

WWE SummerSlam airs tomorrow night live on Peacock and WWE Network.

Pwinsider reports that Roode will be working WWE SummerSlam 2023 as a producer. He will also be joining the RAW brand in the backstage role.

Pwinsider reports that WWE made changes to the scheduled meet-and-greets today at the WWE SummerSlam store in Detroit. Omos and Bronson Reed were originally scheduled but were replaced by Valhalla & Erik, and Apollo Crews respectively.

As we previously reported here on eWn, the match between Rhea Ripley and Raquel Rodriquez might be dropped from the SummerSlam card due to time constraints.

Taking to Twitter, Ripley retweeted several official WWE announcements regarding her upcoming appearances, including a WWE PR tweet highlighting an InStyle SummerSlam article. Ripley wrote,
