Wrestling enthusiasts have bid a regretful farewell to ‘Timeless’ Toni Storm, who made an announcement about putting an end to her wrestling career. The well-received wrestler stated that she won’t be returning to the ring.
According to SB Nation, Storm has seemingly put a full stop to her AEW and broader wrestling career, expressing her remorse towards her fans for “being such a failure.” She went further to elaborate,
““I’ve overreached in every setting. I was defeated in AEW, in Japan, and in Mexico. I won’t be making myself heard again. Take joy in Mariah May being your champion. You’re all welcome to cherish that.”
Storm underscored that she hasn’t had any discussion with Tony Khan concerning her decision to retire, and that at the moment she remains in an “undisclosed location.”
In a heart-wrenching conclusion, Storm signed off with her trademark phrase, though it was tinge with an air of defeat. She voiced out, ““Chin down. T*ts in. Don’t keep waiting for the other shoe to drop.”
Since August and the All In: London event where she forfeited the AEW Women’s World Championship to Mariah May, Storm has been off the AEW radar. Coming up at this weekend’s AEW Full Gear pay-per-view event in Newark, New Jersey, May will be making merry with her championship title alongside Mina Shirakawa.
