Recently, on the show CMLL Informa, wrestler Toni Storm expressed her excitement about her upcoming debut at Arena Mexico in tomorrow’s CMLL Viernes Espectacular event. She will face off with La Catalina in a match that was originally scheduled for earlier this month, but had been delayed due to weather conditions.
In the interview, Storm shared, “I am very, very excited to come to Arena Mexico. I have never been before. I very much look forward to meeting all my Mexican fans who have been demanding that I come to Mexico City for years and years. I love Lucha Libre. I am known worldwide as the Lucha Wore, so I am happy that I can finally come to CMLL. I might never want to leave. I’ve been interested in a Lucha Libre championship my entire life, and it is a travesty that I haven’t had one yet, so soon I will become a new champion of Mexico. The last time that I had an enchilada, it reappeared fully formed in the toilet, so I’m very nervous, but I’m willing to take a chance. I’ll do whatever it takes to put on the grandest show of all time in Mexico City. Chin up, tis out, and watch for the shoe.”
Additionally, during an episode of the “Straight Talk Wrestling” podcast, Stu Grayson disclosed that WWE and TNA have shown interest in him. He also clarified whether he has been talking with either of the groups. Grayson briefly returned to AEW in March 2023 but was let go again in April this year.
Grayson commented, “So there’s a lot going on in the world of wrestling right now, more than ever. It shifts so quickly. I am in contact with a lot of people sometimes, and then sometimes it just feels like I’m talking to no one. It’s how wrestling works. Within the same minute, I can think, ‘There’s something coming for me,’ or not [laughs{. So the world of wrestling is erratic, which is kind of one of the cool things about it, so it’s hard to say what’s coming up for me until it happens. Because until it’s done and I’m right in the middle of it, I don’t really believe it’s true, so I gotta be right in it. Once I’m right in it, I’m like, ‘This still could not happen at any moment.”
On another note, Major League Wrestling recently confirmed an MLW World Title match for their television show tapings in Chicago. The match will feature Satoshi Kojima, who will defend his championship against Bobby Fish at Cicero Stadium on November 9.
In other wrestling news, TNA Wrestling announced that Rhino and Bob Ryder will be welcomed into the TNA Wrestling Hall of Fame Class of 2024. The ceremony will be held during the “Countdown To Bound For Glory 2024” pre-show, slated for October 26.
