As we previously reported here on eWn, Tony Khan, the CEO of AEW and the Jacksonville Jaguars’ Chief Strategy Officer, made headlines for wearing a neck brace during the 2024 NFL Draft.

The brace was a way to sell the physical assault Khan suffered at the hands of The Young Bucks and Jack Perry on this week’s episode of AEW Dynamite.

On a recent edition of the “Busted Open Radio” podcast, ECW legend Tommy Dreamer shared his thoughts on Khan donning the brace in an effort to promote the AEW storyline.

Dreamer said, “You got a lot of buzz for wearing the neck brace at the draft. A lot of people during the NFL Draft were talking about ‘He was injured during a thing, during his show with AEW…all that stuff.’ That’s good publicity, because it’s furthering the storyline, all that stuff.”

Additionally, Khan plans to sign and auction off the neck brace. The auction proceeds will go to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital to support Run Rich Run.
