Tommy Dreamer has called on AEW to assure the safety of its talent outside of the U.S. following the recent attack on Don Callis.

Callis was legitimately attacked during the post-AAA TripleMania: Tijuana press conference after a staged confrontation with Kenny Omega.

On “Busted Open Radio” Dreamer recalled a time when fans at an ECW event attacked Beulah McGillicutty during a show. He said,

“Me and Raven are wrestling and Beulah gets attacked from behind. Two dudes pull her backward over the guardrail.

“I’m in a hold, and all of a sudden I remember her flopping over the guardrail backward, and then two dudes started putting the boots to her.”

Dreamer added that he did not break character and help (as he and Beulah were enemies on-screen) and the security and other wrestlers sufficiently punished the fans who grabbed her.

Dreamer went on to say that AEW President Tony Khan should start asking for guaranteed safety for his talent if they are going to take bookings outside the promotion and outside of the U.S.
