Tommy Dreamer has expressed his opinion that the conclusion of The Undertaker’s undefeated WrestleMania track record by Brock Lesnar stands as the most egregious mistake in wrestling programming history.
During his guest appearance on the popular “Busted Open Radio” podcast, The ECW icon delved into his thoughts regarding Lesnar’s infamous record-breaking triumph over Taker at WrestleMania 30 and reasons it is considered one of the most regrettable turns in the professional wrestling domain.
The podcast had several standout moments. Some of its salient points have been noted down below:
Regarding Lesnar putting an end to the Streak: “Even now, I categorize it as possibly the most disastrous move in the realm of professional wrestling. I don’t believe Brock required this to happen at that particular moment either.”
His reasoning behind the negative sentiment: “The Streak had become synonymous with WrestleMania, becoming a major crowd-puller. Considering the remaining matches he had left in him, it was essentially a fail-safe main event waiting to happen without any over-complication about the next person to break the streak. I personally wouldn’t have endorsed it; Brock wasn’t in need of it. Policies like these are ideal for those who actually stand to benefit. I sincerely wish it hadn’t materialized— the only way I could justify ‘Taker losing if it would’ve been his absolute last match.”
