In a recent discussion on the “Busted Open Radio” podcast, professional wrestling icon, Tommy Dreamer, opened up about the origin of the spiked bat, the latest hard-hitting scene between Adam “Cope” Copeland and Jon Moxley, among other subjects.

Here are some noteworthy points from the podcast:

When discussing the inception of the spiked bat, Dreamer said, “Initially, I spotted it with Abyss in TNA, and it was entirely genuine. It was a plank with pointed nails entrenched at its base. … The striking part is that it’s extremely top-heavy. Often, it requires a lot of force to swing it, but it would then lodge into the turnbuckle.”

Addressing the bold scene between Cope and Moxley, he stated, “I would be contradicting myself if I criticised any aspect of that scene. This particular moment was harsh. The last time I witnessed something of this intensity was with Sabu during ECW’s Born To Be Wired.”
