Professional wrestling icon Tommy Dreamer recently commended the WWE production team for the impressive execution of Roman Reigns’ comeback in the latest Steel Cage match during RAW.
Reigns’ dramatic entry at the conclusion of the match, dragging Seth Rollins out of the ring, led to Rollins securing the win against CM Punk. However, Reigns didn’t stop there, going on to confront both Rollins and Punk.
On a recent episode of the “Busted Open Radio” podcast, Dreamer shared his admiration for the way the segment was handled.

When discussing how the surprise was introduced: “The anticipation was palpable, something was about to unfold, yet it remained hidden until the precise moment they intended for it to be revealed. This is exactly why the work of production, agents, and all back-end functions are so valuable. The moment Seth Rollins was grabbed out of nowhere and yanked out of the ring it was a complete surprise.”
Musing on what the unveil reminded him of: “This scenario had millions of eyeballs, both from Netflix and social media. When the reveal finally happened it was breathtaking. If I were to draw parallels with cinema, the anticipation from the audience was akin to a Friday the 13th movie scene — the suspenseful buildup is followed by an abrupt halt, and then Jason is revealed; kind of like how it played out with Roman Reigns.”
