Tommy Dreamer was a big fan of Mercedes Mone’s AEW debut on this week’s “Big Business” themed episode of Dynamite.

Speaking on a recent edition of the “Busted Open Radio” podcast, the TNA Wrestling star commented on Mone’s performance in her AEW debut, and more.

You can check out some highlights from the podcast below:

On the debut: “I really, really enjoyed it. I was a little shocked that it happened first, but if you kind of think about it, most of these things go long, and if you have a whole show before it, then you have to rely on the person speeding up their debut.”

On Mone’s performance: “Mercedes’ debut was great. They made her like she is – special. She’s been a proven draw when she was in WWE, a proven draw when she went to New Japan, [and] got hurt. Now she’s in AEW. Presentation is everything. The music, nobody knew what it was, who this is coming out until ‘The CEO’ [spelled out on the screen], and then we saw her name. Whoever made the CEO music, I would give them a bonus because it’s now programmed. It’s a chant. No matter what, they’re going to respond.”

Mercedes Mone’s AEW Debut Receives Praise from Tommy Dreamer

This week’s “Big Business” themed episode of AEW Dynamite featured the highly anticipated debut of Mercedes Mone, and it did not disappoint. Tommy Dreamer, a TNA Wrestling star, recently shared his thoughts on Mone’s performance in her AEW debut on the “Busted Open Radio” podcast.

Dreamer expressed his enjoyment of Mone’s debut, although he admitted to being a little surprised that it happened so early in the show. He explained that typically, these debuts occur later in the program, but considering the length of the show, it made sense to have her debut earlier.

He highlighted her past successes in WWE and New Japan, noting that she has proven to be a draw wherever she goes. Dreamer also commended the presentation of her entrance, particularly the music. He mentioned that the music added an element of mystery and intrigue to her debut, as nobody knew who was coming out until “The CEO” was spelled out on the screen, followed by Mone’s name. Dreamer even suggested that whoever created the music should receive a bonus because it has now become a programmed chant among fans.
