Tommy Dreamer considered the hour-long bout between MJF and Will Ospreay on this week’s AEW Dynamite episode to be a piece of art.
The thrilling match ended with MJF clinching the International Championship from Ospreay, in a contest that featured more wrestling than the entire three-hour episode of WWE RAW this week.
During a recent episode of the “Busted Open Radio” podcast, Dreamer expressed his admiration for the match, saying,
“Sometimes, as a wrestler, you’re trying to muster energy, and you really need to draw it from the fans. Especially when you’re 48 minutes in, because now you’re conscious of the time.
“It was truly a masterclass in wrestling. I thoroughly enjoyed it. You’ve also got to realize that to wrestle for an hour with one of the best – considered one of the best – brings with it self-doubt. And, if I were in MJF’s position, I don’t know what would be going through Will Ospreay’s mind.”
Ospreay had been holding the title since the AEW Double or Nothing 2024 series, where MJF made his comeback to AEW shows.
