During a recent episode of the “Busted Open Radio” podcast, professional wrestler Tommy Dreamer aired his thoughts on the latest episode of WWE NXT. Specifically, he was less than pleased with the results of the women’s Last Chance Iron Survivor Qualifying Match that featured wrestlers like Wren Sinclair, Kelani Jordan, Jaida Parker, and Cora Jade.
Dreamer expressed dissatisfaction primarily because he felt there was no clear clean finish. Here are some highlights from his remarks on the podcast:
Speaking about the Last Chance Iron Survivor Qualifier, he mentioned, “I really enjoyed [the Women’s Last Chance Match]. I found that every participant was brilliant. All of them nailed it. However, the match’s conclusion was a letdown for me. Wren Sinclair drew a fantastic crowd reaction. I just thought someone warranted an undisputed victory.”
Dreamer also commented on WWE NXT’s dependence on distractive finishes or intervention from outside: “The organization seems to be overusing this approach and I felt disconnected from the show due to that, considering the talent of these women [they could’ve done more]. You can’t keep recurring instances we’ve already seen because they then lose their surprise factor.”
In the same conversation, Bully Ray shared his viewpoint on the NXT Women’s Division.
According to Ray, “From what I can undoubtedly say; the women’s division in NXT is performing exceptionally well. They’re rising to the occasion. Would it be too much if I say they are carrying the brand? I reckon everyone is excelling in their roles, but the women’s team is a standout squad. New recruits like Stephanie Vaquer, Giulia, and Zaria are…significantly contributing to this division. Each one of them displays immense strength.”
