On a recent episode of the widely known “Busted Open Radio” podcast, ex-WWE and ECW icon Tommy Dreamer shared his thoughts on Erick Rowan’s role in The Wyatt Sicks and speculated on possible directions for his narrative.
Some highlights from the podcast are included below for convenience:
Discussing Erick Rowan, Dreamer said, “Rowan’s story is uniquely riveting. When you look at the narratives, you realize that the darkest period of my life somehow resonates with Rowan’s journey. I’ve always been fond of him, he was underutilized, in my opinion. I’ve competed against him and know how incredibly talented he is. He is gigantic, yet very agile and usually silent.”
Regarding the potential trajectory of Rowan’s narrative, Dreamer commented, “This man has lost two of his dearest friends; in addition to that, he doesn’t have a job. People tend to complain about not getting the right opportunities. But listen, ‘I was jobless.’ That’s a fact. So, in my view, your profound, emotionally charged story is ‘You’re dealing with all this while you’re receiving a consistent income,’ all these things. ‘I’m uncertain about where my next paycheck will come from.’”
On Joe Gacy’s involvement in the Wyatt Sicks group, Dreamer noted, “As for Joe Gacy, his evolution within ‘NXT’ has been remarkable and we saw him carrying a faction that didn’t get optimal spotlight. On the other side, regarding Dexter Lumis, I appreciate his silent demeanor. I don’t want him to speak. I like that he kept silent, that he refrained from speaking.”
