Tommaso Ciampa & Timothy Thatcher Defeat Grizzled Young Vets In Tornado Tag Match

It was an all-out battle as Tommaso Ciampa and Timothy Thatcher took on The Grizzled Young Veterans in the well-promoted tornado tag match. However, it was the technical American duo that came out on top.
The two rival teams went back and forth as they brawled all over the Capitol Wrestling Center and there were several saves that had to be made by both teams. Some major spots included an air raid crash from up top by Ciampa and then a tope Doomsday Device by GYV onto Tommaso. The latter allowed the heels to isolate the remaining Thatcher as Ciampa was laid out. Drake and Gibson hit an elevated backstabber on Thatcher and they nearly got the W, but Ciampa recovered in just the nick of time to make the save. The brawl once more goes to the outside and Ciampa hits a White Noise on the commentator’s table to take out Gibson. That allowed Ciampa and Thatcher to hit a Fairy Tale ending and put Drake in a duel submission for the quick tap-out win.
It was teased earlier in the evening that the winners could have a shot at the NXT Tag Titles when MSK “got their popcorn ready” for Wednesday evening’s main event.
