Tom Lawlor, Stephan Bonnar Set For ‘Heavy Hitters 2’ Strong Style Tournament On March 27

‘Filthy’ Tom Lawlor and Stephan Bonnar are set to headline the 2nd annual Heavy Hitters Tournament for Paradigm Pro Wrestling on Friday, March 27th at the American Legion Post 204 in Sellersburg, IN.

The Heavy Hitters Tournament is a unique one night, sixteen man tournament that “mixes the athleticism of mixed martial arts with the violence and showmanship of hardcore professional wrestling.” All matches must have a winner and can only be won via knockout, TKO, submission, or pinfall. There are no disqualifications, no count-outs, no rope breaks, and no rules.

“Stephan Bonnar and Thomas Lawlor are incredible, world-class athletes who have seamlessly transitioned to professional wrestling. We’re really excited to showcase their skills at an incredibly intimate setting in front of a few hundred fans” said Paradigm Pro Wrestling co-owner Gary Wilson.

Bonnar will compete in the first round of the Heavy Hitters Tournament against “The One Man Militia” Matthew Justice. Justice is a former developmental talent for WWE who recently completed a tour of Japan with Game Changer Wrestling, and currently holds titles for Absolute Intense Wrestling and Blackcraft Wrestling.

The two also previously matched up in a UWF-I Rules Superfight at Paradigm’s Fighting Spirit Heavyweight Grand Prix in November, with Bonnar coming out on top. Ahead of that event, Bonnar told WrestleZone Radio that Justice “is the type of opponent who can really elevate my game in professional wrestling. It’s an honor to face him.”

Lawlor will compete in the first round of the Heavy Hitters Tournament against Reed Bentley. Bentley said, “I’ve heard a lot about Tom [Lawlor], so it’s time to see just how filthy he really wants to get.”

Other featured competitors include IndependentWrestling.TV Champion WARHORSE, former Game Changer Wrestling Champion AJ Gray, Gary Jay, 2019 PPW Grand Prix Champion Dominic Garrini, and 2019 Heavy Hitters Tournament Champion Trevor Court.

Paradigm Pro Wrestling’s Second Annual Heavy Hitters Tournament will take place at American Legion Post 204 at 412 N New Albany St in Sellersburg, IN, on Friday, March 27th. Tickets range from $20 to $30. The event will be an all-ages show, with a full bar available for ages 21+.
