Steve Maclin, a former WWE superstar, has not been seen in a WWE ring for a long time. However, fans should not rule out the possibility of a surprise return during next year’s Men’s Royal Rumble match.

With the ongoing collaboration between WWE NXT and TNA Wrestling throughout 2024, stars from both platforms have had the opportunity to compete in the rival promotions.

Maclin, during a recent episode of the “That’s Wrestling” podcast, discussed the potential of returning to WWE through the Men’s Royal Rumble match. He said,

“If it happens, it happens. Currently, I’m loving my role within TNA. Clearly, the cross-promotion could be incredible as it could bring more attention to both myself and TNA. Although, I am equally satisfied with the present direction and the narratives I’m involved in. My current rivalry with Josh is exciting. However, if an opportunity arises, who knows? Perhaps, during the Rumble.”

Previously known as Steve Cutler in WWE, Maclin was let go from his contract in February 2021, only to join TNA in June of the same year. He earned the title of a former TNA World Champion during his tenure with the promotion.

The momentous event of 2025, the Royal Rumble pay-per-view, is set to take place on February 1st in the illustrious Lucas Oil Stadium located in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Below is an interview where Steve Maclin further discusses his success in TNA, achieving the World Champion position, the Eric Young saga, along with insights into the TNA-NXT alliance and more. [link to embedded content]
