At the recent UBS Global Media & Communications Convention, Mark Shapiro, the top executive of TKO, discussed the potential of extending more WWE pay-per-view events over two days.
Shapiro expressed his optimistic outlook on the concept, stating, “Certainly, there are opportunities for this. It’s a natural progression. Our decision to extend WrestleMania was a major success. Analyzing all these PLEs, based on the collaborator, I’m convinced there’s solid potential to expand some to two days. Our storylines are in a good position. It starts with WrestleMania as the apex and then the new season commences. Shows like Raw, Smackdown, Saturday Night’s Main Event, and the PLEs are used to knit together a comprehensive story that’s spanned across different narratives and characters. This also gives us the chance to introduce new names and revive old ones.”
In another event, WWE Hall of Famer Mick Foley had an interesting conversation with “MuscleManMalcolm”. They discussed who, according to Foley, could be dubbed as the actual Tribal Chief in WWE today.
In response, Foley said with a chuckle, “I’m a Mami’s boy, right? When it comes to groups, I favor the vintage Judgment Day. Carlito, no offense, but that’s not the Judgment Day I remember. The genuine tribal leader in WWE, from the past to the present, has been and always will be Mami. Is it Roman Reigns or Solo Sikoa you’re asking about? No, not at all.”
Embedded is a video of Mick Foley discussing Travis Scott’s usage of Cactus Jack, the origin of Bray Wyatt, and Mr. Socko’s story.
