Matt Riddle was forced to attempt to defend the NXT Tag Team Championships with a mystery partner tonight, but he didn’t need to worry too much, as Pete Dunne arranged for Timothy Thatcher to help Riddle.

During his NXT debut, Thatcher helped Riddle retain Riddle’s championship in a big win against Roderick Strong and Bobby Fish. Things looked tough for Riddle and Thatcher at first, but it was Thatcher who ended things, getting Roderick Strong to tap out after locking in a Fujiwara armbar.
