In a recent chat with The Daily Mail, WWE Superstar Tiffany Stratton shared her thoughts on potentially joining forces on-screen with her real-life boyfriend, Ludwig Kaiser, who is also part of WWE. Her response was measured, saying,
“I don’t know, if it comes to fruition, surely, if the timing and storyline fit, then yeah, why should we not? We’re not in any rush to be paired on screen as we belong to different brands, but if the moment arrives, I am all in. Our encounters are not very frequent. We are together for roughly two days, but we make those moments worthwhile.”
In another development, WWE Hall of Famer and ECW Original Rob Van Dam put in an appearance on the “Busted Open Radio” podcast. Here he offered his thoughts on the upcoming episode of WWE NXT hailing from the 2300 Arena in Philadelphia, PA. Here’s a glimpse of the podcast’s highlights:
Discussing his excitement about being in Philadelphia for tonight’s NXT episode, he stated, “I am in Philly. I’m thrilled to see [the fans]. Hopefully, they’re equally excited to see RVD. Those historical moments we created years ago in the ECW Arena will never fade away. We left our imprints; they are still influencing the industry to this day. All the budding talents now were our viewers; they all enjoyed ECW. I find it incredible that WWE is not only acknowledging the past but making it relevant today. Some of us veterans can still deliver.”
When asked about returning home, he responded, “The feeling is very much what you would imagine. It feels like a homecoming of sorts. The vibe in the area is quite unique compared to other random arenas or venues worldwide. It’s almost like I had a hand in building it. It feels like all of us [ECW] originals responsible for creating that energy, it’s our home, like we deserve to be there more than those wrestlers who were merely fans and thrilled to be present at that time. It gives a depth to the history and significance of ECW and the reasons it’s not forgotten. It adds to the authenticity when you host an ECW-like event, and the real ECW performers are present. The way they modified the opening for this week’s NXT show was intriguing and historically very meaningful; it’s a sure sign of our recognition.”
