The professional wrestler, Thunder Rosa, returned to the ring on Tuesday and seized victory, becoming the new Riot Cabaret Women’s Champion. The climax of the show saw Rosa triumph over Nina Samuels for the title. There are numerous highlights from the match available for viewing below:
Rosa’s previous match took place in August, after which she suffered a concussion.
Nigel McGuinness recently appeared on the “Talk is Jericho” podcast and chatted about his career highs and lows. He also spoke about his 2009 WWE contract being revoked due to physical limitations and followed this up with a discussion about his TNA journey.
Top highlights from the podcast are below:
McGuinness shared that he was initially signed by WWE, only for the offer to be withdrawn due to an arm injury—despite his doctor giving him a clean bill of health. He mentioned that WWE’s medical team insisted against it.
On the topic of his TNA stint, McGuinness reflected on his memorable matches against Kurt Angle, while also acknowledging that this victory did not earn him any support from WWE. After a routine blood test, he tested positive for Hepatitis B, which he incidentally managed to rid of after a year of antiviral medication. Unfortunately, TNA let him go just two weeks before he could officially resume wrestling.
McGuinness also opened up about “The Last Of McGuinness,” a documentary he had shot during his retirement tour. He termed the support he had received for the project as overwhelming and thanked his fans for validating his impact on professional wrestling.
