NWA Worlds Women’s Champion Thunder Rosa was the latest guest on Prime Time with Sean Mooney. Rosa talked about her journey to the “circle squared” and the important vision and direction NWA owner Billy Corgan has for the company:
“It is very exciting and very exhilarating for me because they are really picking people that they feel that they can fulfill what Billy wants for the NWA. Like he wants us to be us and he doesn’t want like hokey stuff.”
Rosa adds that she sees a crew that is all in on that vision. “I think that’s the reason why the people are there is because they want to make the NWA better.”
Has Rosa felt her impact in on the product so far?
“I think so. I really do think so. Like I said, they have given a lot of opportunities to people like me that haven’t had an opportunity the way that they are here and the way that they are showcasing me and showcasing all the women in the show, it’s different, you know? I like it. I really enjoy working for the NWA. I’m all in for them and I’m gonna be there until, until I don’t want to be there or they don’t want me to be there (laughs).”
Rosa does enjoy the intimacy of the studio wrestling setting and the sudden transition from podium, to promo, to wrestling.
“I really love getting in the podium, cutting the promo and then getting on the ring. I really enjoy doing that. Really cool.”
