Thunder Rosa won a bloody battle in the first-ever women’s main event on AEW Dynamite and made a big statement in the process.

AEW posted the following video with backstage highlights of the match, including both Thunder Rosa and Britt Baker getting a standing ovation after the show. Following this, she spoke with Tony Schiavone and said she completed her mission that she came to All Elite Wrestling to carry out.

“This means everything to me. As you guys know, I come from nothing. Seven months ago, I came here to make a statement, and that was to put women’s wrestling on the map. And tonight, with blood, sweat and tears, I just showed you that,” Thunder Rosa said, “that women’s wrestling should be valued everywhere, and I’m very, very proud of this.”

Thunder Rosa closed by saying thank you to everyone for believing in her. Britt Baker was also seen getting tacks taken out of her back in the medical room, and she said she hopes Dave Meltzer liked the match, but knows that Jon Moxley and Chris Jericho will be proud of her.
