Thunder Rosa recently appeared as a guest on the “Heal Squad” podcast, discussing a plethora of subjects, one of which was her unforgettable Lights Out match against Britt Baker in 2021.
Rosa and Baker found themselves competing in this groundbreaking “unsanctioned” match, aired during the March 17th, 2021 episode of Dynamite.
In reference to the match, Rosa stated, “The [match] that fundamentally redirected the course of my career was the Lights Out bout with Britt Baker. That’s the match that shook things up, injecting change into TV and women’s wrestling with the unique nature of our fight.”
Her comments continued, “The fight was brutal. Blood was everywhere, chairs were involved – it was intense. We bagged the match of the year award, probably the first time in history for such a recognition. Hence, I am forever connected to this woman because of our shared experience.”
