Recently, on “The Pat McAfee Show” podcast, Paul “Triple H” Levesque, WWE’s CCO, praised WWE President Nick Khan for his excellent business knowledge and expertise.
Triple H brought attention to Khan’s ability to understand complex business scenarios, adding that investors value Khan’s insights on both WWE and external sports issues, especially during earnings calls.
Triple H stated, “I’ve never encountered a more adept businessman than Nick [Khan], who possesses an uncanny sense for what is happening. It was interesting that for a few years before the TKO merger, during earnings calls I sensed that the investors were as keen to learn about Nick’s views on external sports developments as they were about happenings within the WWE, because his insights are so valuable.”
He went on to say, “Interestingly, there was a time when, if you looked up Nick, you’d find him mentioned as ‘most influential man in sports,’ making significant deals. However, surprisingly, he’s not an avid fan of external sports. Sure, he has some knowledge about other sports, but you would expect him to be more engrossed. His real interest lies in combat sports like boxing and MMA and what we do in pro wrestling and WWE. He is a massive fan of that, having grown up around it, even working as an usher at WrestleMania in Caesar’s Palace.”
“When I first met him, receiving those business insights from him that almost always turned out perfectly correct, along with witnessing his passion for the sport, created a great rapport between us. We were fortunate to get him on board with the company, and I am lucky now, as I get to interact with him daily and draw from his wisdom. [McAfee says he’s a genius] Absolutely. I don’t say this lightly, as I believe many people excel at their jobs, but Nick is a genius.”
Khan is driving WWE’s attempts to work jointly with other organizations. His leadership has played a vital role in landing profitable contracts for the WWE throughout the years.
