The main event of AEW Holiday Bash saw the Young Bucks put their All Elite Wrestling tag team championship on the line against The Acclaimed. This was the biggest match of the careers of Max Caster and Anthony Bowens, but they came up short against the veterans. The heel team put on a competitive match against the Bucks, but the experience of the champs was simply too much.

It didn't take long for this fight for the #AEW World Tag Team Championships to make it's way to the outside.

The Acclaimed showed plenty of heart in defeat, though. Both members of The Acclaimed were put in sharpshooters, but Bowens was able to reach the ropes to force his way out. The young duo would hit a superplex for a two-count, but the pinfall was broken up. Matt Jackson would tag in his brother Nick, who changed the tide of the match. Referee Rick Knox would accidentally get superkicked, which would lead to Max Caster and Bowens hitting a low blow and then using a foreign object to nearly knockout Nick Jackson. The Acclaimed went for the pin, but the replacement referee didn’t arrive in time, so the match went on.

And New?!

Moments later, the Bucks hit a BTE Trigger for the win.
