The Women’s Tag Team Championship in WWE changes ownership at the ‘Clash at the Castle’ event in Scotland.

In the WWE Clash at the Castle: Scotland event, the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship was at stake. Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill, the defending champions, faced a Triple Threat match. Their opponents included The Unholy Union and the duo of Shayna Baszler and Zoey Stark. With the advantage of the reigning champions neutralized, the match ended with fresh champions being crowned.

The challenging teams smartly used their numerical advantage during the bulk to overwhelm the reigning champs. This strategy was vital to counter the formidable combo of Belair and Cargill.

How did Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn seize the day? They made the most of their weaker adversaries, with Dawn pinning Baszler to secure the titles for The Unholy Union.

This outcome spared Belair and Cargill as they were not pinned. The audience in the OVO Hydro was electrified, especially since Dawn hails from Glasgow, while Fyre is from Johnstone, Scotland.

It was a bitter moment for Belair and Cargill who had to watch as the home-grown victors were applauded by a cheering crowd.

Sadly, just days prior, Fyre’s mother, Bridgeen Mitchell, passed away in a car accident during a vacation in Orlando, Florida, where she was visiting Fyre. Luckily, her father, Ronnie, survived the crash.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to Fyre for her family’s tragic loss, and our hearty congratulations to The Unholy Union for their champion win.

This win marks the first WWE Tag Team Championship stint for Fyre and Dawn who have previously won the NXT Women’s Tag Team Championship and held it till Baszler and Ronda Rousey merged and retired the titles on May 29, 2023.
