The Way Win The NXT Women’s Tag Team Championships After Brutal Street Fight
Garbage cans, chairs and tables were all utilized in an effort to claim the NXT Women’s Tag Team Titles, but it was The Way who came out on top.
Shotzi Blackheart and Ember Moon showed their chemistry as they took it to both Indi Hartwell and Candice LeRae despite having Franky Monet’s pooch drop heat in their tank earlier in the evening. One of the major highlight moments of the Street Fight came from Shotzi senton diving on top of LeRae who was laying across a ladder set up on the outside. They were not to be outdone as LaRae nailed a springboard moonsault on a ladder held up by Hartwell who later nailed Moon with a spinebuster on top of said ladder. Shotzi in turn had to make the necessary save.
Shotzi created another hardcore highlight as she leaped off a pillar to splash on top of Hartwell through the commentary table.
The four women continue to battle it out and Hartwell had her moment springboard diving to the outside onto Moon through a table. The finish went down when Candice LeRae shook Shotzi with some brass knuckles before hitting her with the Wicked Stepsister on a chair. That sets The Way up for a potential major follow-up when Austin Theory has the tall task of taking on Karrion Kross next week.
