The Viking Raiders Don’t Want To Sit And Watch Another WrestleMania, Erik Says They Were On Stage At WrestleMania 37

The Viking Raiders weren’t exactly watching from the sidelines this year, but they are back with a huge chip on their shoulders to make sure they don’t miss another WrestleMania.

Erik and Ivar were guests on RAW Talk after they returned to TV this week, picking up a win over Cedric Alexander and Shelton Benjamin in their first match together in seven months.

“Now that it’s back together and now that we’re here, it’s like he said—we’ve got a huge chip on our shoulder. We’ve seen everything that happened and this is now our second WrestleMania that we’ve watched. I don’t want to watch again. I hate being on the sidelines,” Erik explained. “I hate not being… having the ball, running and scoring, you know what I mean? I want to be in the action, I want to be in the fights. I don’t care if we’re winning, losing, you know, I’ve lost matches, but I’ve never lost a fight. To my dying day, I’ve never lost a fight.”

Xavier Woods interjected and said Erik’s last remark is a t-shirt slogan in the making, and Erik went on to explain how they were on stage at WrestleMania 37, but they didn’t get to wrestle like their peers did.

“And it’s the truth, it’s how I feel. I’d rather be out there fighting than sitting and eating catering or watching my friends go out in front of 45,000 people. We were on stage for ‘America The Beautiful’. We were out there and you guys just ran past us, full of energy, and we felt it. We felt the people and we got goosebumps from it,” Erik noted, “but we didn’t get to go out and wrestle. We didn’t get to go out and do what we do.”

When asked about the prospects of facing AJ Styles and Omos, the new RAW Tag Team Champions, The Viking Raiders’ Erik said they don’t have a special strategy.

“We don’t change. We have a winning formula. We are who we are and we’re going to run right through everyone. [To Woods] Sorry, but it’s what we do. We don’t change.”
