On Mark Henry scouting him for WWE at the Arnold Classic: “He saw something in me. I was imagining I was Hulk Hogan when I was a kid ripping my shirt off again, throwing it into the crowd, having 20,000 people go crazy at the Arnold Classic. Mark Henry saw something and called Vince McMahon and said, ‘You need to look at this kid’… He put his name on the line, bought my plane ticket, flew me down to Florida. Mark Henry personally picked me up from the airport, took me all around, showed me a good time, was there for my tryout and I owe so much to that man.”

On the best lesson Henry taught him: “‘God gave you two ears and one mouth for a reason. Shut up, listen.’ That’s my advice that I pass on now to the younger athletes that ask me.”

Braun Strowman, also known as the “Monster Among Men,” recently appeared on “The Ranveer Show” to discuss his journey in the world of professional wrestling. One of the highlights of his conversation was how he got discovered by WWE through the help of former wrestler Mark Henry.

Strowman revealed that Mark Henry scouted him at the Arnold Classic, an annual bodybuilding competition. As a child, Strowman used to imagine himself as Hulk Hogan, ripping his shirt off and throwing it into the crowd. Mark Henry saw something special in him and immediately recognized his potential. He called Vince McMahon, the CEO of WWE, and insisted that he should take a look at Strowman.

Impressed by Henry’s recommendation, McMahon decided to give Strowman a chance. Henry went above and beyond to support Strowman’s journey. He personally bought Strowman’s plane ticket and flew him down to Florida for a tryout. Henry even picked him up from the airport and showed him around, ensuring that Strowman had a good time during his visit.

Strowman expressed his gratitude towards Mark Henry, acknowledging that he owes a lot to him for believing in his abilities. It was Henry’s endorsement that paved the way for Strowman’s entry into WWE.

When asked about the best lesson he learned from Mark Henry, Strowman shared an important piece of advice that has stuck with him throughout his career. Henry told him, “God gave you two ears and one mouth for a reason. Shut up, listen.” This advice resonated with Strowman, and he now passes it on to younger athletes who seek his guidance. It emphasizes the importance of being a good listener and learning from those who have more experience.
