The lineup for New Japan Pro Wrestling’s forthcoming Wrestling Dontaku 2025 event, slated for May 3, has been expanded. A noteworthy match to watch out for will have El Phantasmo defending the NJPW World TV title against Konosuke Takeshita. Additionally, a new rule has been introduced to the Dog Pound Steel Cage match: the loser in the fight between the War Dogs and HOUSE OF TORTURE will be compelled to abandon the Bullet Club.
Here’s the revised lineup for the NJPW Wrestling Dontaku 2025:
For the first night:
– The Dog Pound Steel Cage Match, with the loser leaving the Bullet Club, will be between War Dogs and HOUSE OF TORTURE.
– El Phantasmo will be defending his NJPW World TV Championship against Konosuke Takeshita.
– Shingo Takagi is set to square off with Shota Umino.
– Hiroshi Tanahashi will face Zack Sabre Jr.
– Bishamon and Ryusuke Taguchi will be up against the United Empire with Callum Newman, Great-O-Khan, and Jakob Austin Young.
– Los Ingobernables de Japon comprising of BUSHI, Hiromu Takahashi, Tetsuya Naito, and Yota Tsuji will face Tomohiro Ishii and Just 4 Guys (Taichi, Taka Michinoku, and Yuya Uemura).
– Master Wato, Oleg Boltin, Toru Yano, and YOH will be in a match with TMDK (Hartley Jackson, Kosei Fujita, Robbie Eagles and Ryohei Oiwa)
– Katsuya Murashima is up against Daiki Nagai.
On the second night:
– Hirooki Goto will defend IWGP World Heavyweight Championship against Callum Newman.
– Yota Tsuji will be defending the IWGP Global Heavyweight Championship against Yuya Uemura.
– Los Ingobernables de Japon (Bushi, Hiromu Takahashi, Shingo Takagi and Tetsuya Naito) will square off with Just 4 Guys (Taichi and Taka Michinoku), Shota Umino and Tomohiro Ishii.
– El Phantasmo and Oleg Boltin will face The Don Callis Family (Konosuke Takeshita and Rocky Romero).
– Fukuoka Triple Crazy’s team of Maika, Hazuki, and Koguma will go against Neo Genesis (Starlight Kid and AZM) and Yuna Mizumori.
– A match is set for Master Wato and Yoshi-Hashi against United Empire (Great-O-Khan and Jakob Austin Young).
– Lastly, Hitamaru Sasaki and Jet Wei will take on Katsuya Murashima and Ryusuke Taguchi.
