The Undertaker On Thinking He Could Still Go After Retiring

The illustrious wrestling career of The Undertaker came to a grand finale in 2020 with the much-celebrated Boneyard Match against AJ Styles, presented at WrestleMania 36.

During a recent session of his “Six Feet Under” podcast, the wrestling legend, best known as the Phenom, expressed his confidence in his ability to still put up a fight in the ring. He expressed,

“Deciding to hang it up and acknowledging that it’s the right step is hard… I’ve been down that path. In my conscious, I could still wrestle. My heart yearned for it. But, I knew. It was as if, ‘I’m finished. I’ve run out of fuel.’ Admitting that to myself took quite some time, despite my awareness that I was making the correct decision.

“I felt this immense emptiness, like, ‘What’s my next move now? I don’t believe I want to become a coach. I don’t think I want to pursue this.’ It felt strange because this is what I had known for more than three decades.”

In the nearly half a decade since his final match, The Undertaker has on many occasions talked about his yearning to get back in the ring, but so far, he has not returned to wrestling.

At the moment, the Phenom is working as a host on WWE LFG, along with Mickie James, Booker T, and Bubba Ray Dudley.

The forthcoming season will see Michelle McCool stepping in, replacing James. It has been pointed out that The Undertaker had a hand in facilitating his wife’s entrance to the show.
