On remaining in the ring with Brody:“So I understand the rating, understand what’s going to occur. And I get in the ring and I lose my freaking mind. Like, I’m standing here now, I’m 6 foot 8 now. And by this time I’m 300-something pounds. And I’m taking a look at Brody and I’m like, ‘Hmm, I’m larger than he is.’ That was the worst idea that ever concern my mind! Since I’m like, ‘Okay.’ Since Brody resembled this larger than life character, when you see him and he’s got that– like I stated, you got the hair and [I believed] ‘I’m larger than this boy of– all right!’ Oh God that was the worst, you understand?
We lock up in the ring. And you understand, he’s attempting to assist me. He’s like ‘Kid, unwind kid.’ I’m like fishing, you could not have actually moved me. I’m simply locked on to him? He’s like, ‘Alright kid, unwind kid.’ And I’m like, ‘Eh.’ I back him up into it, I press him back into a corner. And we’re type of you understand we’re sort of simply hand examining each other. Amd I go to push him off and in some way or another– and I implied to strike him in the chest, however I in some way since our hands are up, I struck him in the face. And male, his entire attitude simply alters on me. And I’m like, ‘Okay.’ We go, we’re in the match once again and I lock up with him, I’m going to attempt and toss him off. And he turns it around and out of no place he create that huge furry boot of his, kicked me in the head. I’m like, ‘Holy s ** t. I’m in an entire various world today.’ It was time for me to get among my very first lessons in, ‘Don’t f ** k with the old men due to the fact that they do not play.'”
On Brody defending him later:“They were attempting to deliver me off elsewhere to a various area. And Brody really defended me. He stated, ‘You understand, what you require to keep this kid and eliminate a few of these other [people]’ In a locker space complete of crusty veterans? And he states that, and I’m believing to myself, ‘Well, that’s sort of cool that Brody simply defended me.
