The iconic wrestler known as The Undertaker has been a headliner at WrestleMania on numerous occasions under the WWE banner. However, there is one particular occasion at WWE’s flagship show that The Undertaker profoundly regrets.
In a recent installment of his podcast—”Six Feet Under”, The Undertaker reflected on his match against Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 33 which took place in 2017. He expressed,
“The mess still bothers me. Not that I lost, but just I stayed a little long. I didn’t have enough for him that I liked to have given him. At that point, [my] body was shutting down and, yeah, I shouldn’t have been in that match.”
The Undertaker’s encounter with Reigns is often ranked as one of his worst performances at the Showcase of the Immortals, a match that concluded with Reigns defeating The Undertaker.
The Undertaker shared that if the match had taken place a decade earlier, his physical condition would have been significantly better, and he would have “kicked his ass“, implicitly referring to Reigns.
Over the course of his career, The Undertaker featured in five main events at WrestleMania. His final appearance was in the Boneyard Match against AJ Styles in 2020.
