On a recent edition of his “Six Feet Under” podcast, WWE Hall of Famer The Undertaker stated that the WWE Championship should have a traditional design instead of a custom makeover representing the titleholder.

The Undertaker said, “No. I’m a traditionalist. I’m old school. Whatever the world title is, that’s what I wanted to represent. As cool as [the custom belt] is, it’s one of the nicest looking belts I’ve seen, I would have wanted one of the traditional belts, unless it was the spinner belt, which was awful. If I had my choice, the spinner belt or [custom belt], I would have gone with the [custom belt]. I always like the traditional championships. Back then, it was more about being the champion than marketing. I’m not opposed to making money. I just think there are certain traditions and things that should be untouched. The championship should be the championship.”

The Undertaker, one of the most iconic figures in professional wrestling history, recently shared his thoughts on the design of the WWE Championship. In a recent episode of his “Six Feet Under” podcast, the WWE Hall of Famer expressed his preference for a traditional design instead of a custom makeover representing the titleholder.

The Undertaker, known for his old-school mentality and reverence for wrestling traditions, stated, “I’m a traditionalist. I’m old school. Whatever the world title is, that’s what I wanted to represent.” He acknowledged that the custom belt is visually appealing and one of the nicest looking belts he has seen. However, he emphasized his preference for the traditional championships.

The legendary wrestler also mentioned his disdain for the spinner belt, which was introduced in 2005 and featured a spinning WWE logo in the center. The Undertaker made it clear that he would have chosen the custom belt over the spinner belt but still favored the traditional designs.

For The Undertaker, being the champion was more about the prestige and honor associated with the title rather than marketing. He believes that certain traditions and aspects of wrestling should remain untouched. In his view, the championship should be a symbol of excellence and not solely a marketing tool.

Throughout his illustrious career, The Undertaker held the WWE Championship four times. His reigns as champion solidified his status as one of the greatest wrestlers of all time. His preference for traditional championship designs reflects his dedication to upholding the traditions and values of professional wrestling.
