Following their recent win on this week’s SmackDown, Montez Ford & Angelo Dawkins, otherwise known as The Street Profits, plan to rejuvenate the WWE Universe’s appreciation for them.

During the SmackDown episode aired on August 9th, The Street Profits advanced in a tournament aimed at discovering the forthcoming contenders for the WWE Tag Team Titles after beating A-Town Down Under.

In a digital extra-session post-show, B-Fab, in conjunction with The Street Profits, responded to questions about their victory. B-Fab stated that this accomplishment was what they needed to regain their momentum. She said:

“To be exact, what you witnessed was the very thing we needed – a win. To regain our stride for gold, to recapture the titles that rightly belong to The Street Profits – it’s what they deserve. It’s been an extended period since they held that gold, but this period is drawing to a close. We’re setting our sights on the gold again”.

Adding to this, Ford mentioned that while the group had encountered its share of challenges, they are set to remind their fans why they are ex-tag-team champions in WWE. “We envisioned it, we stepped out there and did what we habitually do. Find a way. Seems like somewhere along the way, we lost a bit of ourselves, became a little static to a point that people began forgetting who the Street Profits were. But over the next few weeks, we’re going to slowly remind everyone about our true identity. We’re no newcomers to this turf. You are”, he stated.

Dawkins amplified this by stating that their win over Austin Theory & Grayson Waller will lead them back to the peak. He articulated,

“No stranger to scorn, we’ve had our share. Many perceive The Street Profits to be finished. But what unfolded out there? A-Town Down Under, they assumed we were past it. Now, they’re out of the tournament. Meanwhile, we’re progressing to the next stage. As we’ve set our eyes on the championship gold. Like you mentioned, we’ve traversed many highs and lows. Now, we need to breakthrough and ascend to the peak. That’s our only option. The Street Profits are on the rise, and we’re ready for the challenge.”

The Street Profits, who last held the gold in 2021, are prepared to face #DIY in the tournament’s final round at next week’s WWE SmackDown.

However, the team’s forthcoming journey reportedly won’t include Bobby Lashley, as his contract with WWE is expected to expire this weekend.
