During Wednesday night’s episode of AEW Dynamite, Ricochet triumphed over the formidable Beast Mortos. Subsequently, he had a brisk interview backstage with Renee Paquette, which was abruptly interrupted by Will Ospreay.
In an attempt to rectify the tension between them, the AEW International Champion, Ospreay, extended an olive branch. Nonetheless, Ricochet dismissed the need for an apology. But, as long as he had Ospreay’s attention, he wanted to bring something to his notice.
Ospreay had previously challenged Ricochet to boost his victories before approaching him. Heeding this advice, Ricochet shared that he has been doing precisely that and pointed out that he is becoming a popular target in the circuit. Ospreay might be pre-occupied with the forthcoming AEW World Tag Team Championship, however, Ricochet revealed that he had a conversation with Tony Khan and secured a golden opportunity. On the momentous five-year anniversary of AEW Dynamite, slated for October 2nd, Ricochet will be competing against Ospreay for the coveted AEW International Championship.
The official tweet from All Elite Wrestling (@AEW) stated: ‘October 2nd: #AEW Dynamite 5 Year Anniversary! #AEW International Title Match. Will Ospreay vs. Ricochet. Watch #AEWDynamite LIVE on TBS! @ReneePaquette | @KingRicochet | @WillOspreay.’
Now the question that rises is, who will exit the arena with the international title on October 2nd? We invite you to predict and share your views in the comments below!
