Wrestler Ryan Nemeth’s legal charges against All Elite Wrestling (AEW) will be pushed forward via the course of private arbitration.

The shift in tactic has been confirmed by Nemeth’s lawyer, Mike Caspino, in his statement to wrestling journalist Brandon Thurston of POST Wrestling, expressing that, “There has been no settlement. The parties have agreed to submit the matter to arbitration.”

The lawsuit was initiated by Nemeth against AEW, along with Tony Khan and CM Punk, back in February. Accusations cited in the lawsuit ranged from assault, violation of contract terms, disregarding the tacit mutual agreement of fairness and good faith, to intentional disruption of economic progress.

This week, Nemeth submitted paperwork to willingly dismiss his lawsuit from the Los Angeles Supreme Court. AEW mirrored this move by dismissing its own appeal lodged at the U.S. District Court in Florida, where it had earlier filed for arbitration.

It’s important to note that arbitration represents a confidential resolution mechanism where a neutral party reviews the case and issues a verdict, typically outside the confines of public jurisprudence.
