The Rock’s “Moana” Disney Film Returning To Theaters

Disney is re-releasing a number of older films back to theaters for two-week runs to celebrate their 100th anniversary. 

Among the films is The Rock’s “Moana.” It will be in theaters from October 13 – October 26.

The Rock voices and sings the character of Maui. It drew $682.6 million at the box office during its original run. Here is the synopsis: 

“An adventurous teenager sails out on a daring mission to save her people. During her journey, Moana meets the once-mighty demigod Maui, who guides her in her quest to become a master way-finder. Together they sail across the open ocean on an action-packed voyage, encountering enormous monsters and impossible odds. Along the way, Moana fulfills the ancient quest of her ancestors and discovers the one thing she always sought: her own identity.”

Disney is currently developing a live action version of the film.
