The Rock is proud of the United States’ Olympic athletes and wants Team USA to go take care of business.

NBC shared a new video that aired as part of their Olympic Games coverage featuring The Rock introducing the team to the world. Highlighting the medal contenders that traveled to Tokyo to compete, he later shared a message on Twitter that acknowledged the challenges the pandemic has presented everyone, but encouraged Team USA to bring home the gold.

“Of all the Olympics, this one in particular will always be “the one”. The unbelievable challenges & setbacks our USA athletes are facing. Athletes representing every country as well. I’m very proud of and inspired by our TEAM USAFlag of United States. Im honored. Now go take care of business,” The Rock said.

Dwayne Johnson continues to stay busy in the world of film and pop culture, but his pro wrestling return continues to be a hot topic of discussion. He’s an executive producer on the new Disney+ show Behind The Attraction and has Red One in the works at Amazon, but he’s also rumored to be in line for an appearance at this year’s Survivor Series event in Brooklyn, and a potential tag team match at WrestleMania 38.

It’s also possible that The Rock’s two worlds collide, as Malcolm D. Lee, the director of Space Jam: A New Legacy, recently spoke with Entertainment Weekly and talked about ideas for a potential third film in the series if it came to fruition. In regards to the story for another film, Lee said Dwayne Johnson would be “an interesting choice” for a lead in the (normally) basketball-centered series and questioned if a return to wrestling would make a good narrative.
