Chelsea Green has expressed her admiration for Samantha Irvin’s unique style of ring introduction, admitting she was “heartbroken” when she discovered they would be parting ways due to being on different brands following the 2024 WWE Draft.
In the course of the most recent WWE Draft, both Green and her fellow wrestler, Piper Niven, found themselves being transferred to the SmackDown brand.
While conversing with Rock 95 Barrie, Green disclosed that she was “utterly heartbroken” upon getting to know that Irvin would remain on the RAW brand. She shared,
“Samantha came up with that on her own and I missed it the first time around. After it happened the second or third time, I noticed a significant reaction on Twitter. I decided to pay attention, and I truly admired it. I felt like it added an extra flair to my persona, something for people to relate to, and that’s the fun aspect of wrestling.”
In addition, she shared, “I was truly heartbroken [about moving to Smackdown], that’s why I decided to switch it up. I was genuinely heartbroken. I thought, ‘how can I unleash my full authenticity if I don’t have Sam introducing me like the diva that I am?’.”
