Ricochet, a prominent figure in AEW (All Elite Wrestling), was absent from this week’s Dynamite episode due to marrying Samantha Irvin. Through a video appearance, he informed his fans about his wedding and also sent a message to AEW International Champion, Kenny Omega.
The wrestling star is expected to face off against Omega and “Speedball” Mike Bailey in the AEW International Title match at the much-touted AEW Dynasty. Fans may recall that Ricochet and Irvin announced their engagement back in January 2023.
On Twitter, AEW shared: “Speedball Mike Bailey and Ricochet are laser-focused on defeating “The Best Bout Machine” Kenny Omega and clinching the #AEW International Championship!”
This week’s episode of AEW Dynamite also saw an altercation between Swerve Strickland and Jon Moxley. Strickland spoke resentfully about Moxley’s former AEW Championship status and endowments, accusing him of taking refuge behind his associates, including Claudio Castagnoli, Wheeler Yuta, PAC, and Marina Shafir. He further claimed that he is now more deserving of the AEW World Champion title.
Moxley replied by questioning the extent of Strickland’s commitment to the game, adding that he finds hope in Strickland’s potential.
Later during the heated confrontation, with Marina Shafir getting restrained by Willow Nightingale and Claudio Castagnoli appearing with Prince Nana, Strickland boldly told Moxley that he was finally up against someone more cunning than him.
