The reason the numbers for the August 11th show appear surprisingly high is due to several major markets broadcasting preseason NFL games instead of SmackDown.

The overnight viewership for SmackDown was significantly high compared to last week’s episode, which drew an average overnight audience of 2.151 million viewers. The final audience for last week’s SummerSlam go-home show was 2.248 million.

WWE SmackDown drew an overnight preliminary rating of 0.63 in the key P18-49 demo, up from last week’s overnight rating of 0.57. The final rating for the August 4th episode was 0.62.

WWE SmackDown topped the ratings for primetime broadcast programming on Friday night while Secret Celebrity Renovation topped viewership with 3.10 million viewers.

The final numbers for WWE SmackDown and AEW Rampage will be out on Monday.
