After making a surprising entry in last week’s episode of WWE NXT, when he shockingly ambushed Trick Williams and confessed his involvement in the assaults on Noam Dar and Oro Mensah, Ethan Page dedicated the June 4, 2024 airing of NXT to provoke Ava about his contract, which is yet to be inked (in storyline).
The sum of these provocative moments throughout the show, which included Ava and Robert Stone expressing their frustration over the trouble Page has been causing, concluded in a stage-based contract negotiation section.
At this juncture, Page made it clear that he has specific requirements that should be addressed and that he’ll be the one dictating terms, not Ava.
Then entered WWE NXT World Champion Trick Williams, who ceaselessly mocked Page and publicly expressed his desire for Page to officially ink the contract, so that he along with the rest of the wrestling world could have what they want: a strong defeat of Page by Trick, satiating the desire for revenge.
Page dropped another bombshell when he shared that one of his contract requirements is to have an NXT Championship face-off this weekend against Williams at NXT Battleground. Trick, however, remained unwavering and made it known he wasn’t going to back down.
The moment Ava put pen to paper, it became official – Ethan Page is set to face-off against Trick Williams for an NXT Championship bout at NXT Battleground this coming Sunday at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada.
