The esteemed National Wrestling Alliance (NWA) has made an official pronouncement that the Southern Six, a team including Ricky Morton, Silas Mason, Alex Taylor, and Kerry Morton, have inked exclusive contracts with the wrestling organization.
This development syncs with the recent practice of NWA in securing several contractual alliances with wrestlers in recent times and includes personalities such as Eric Smalls, Natalia Markova, Colby Corino, The Immortals, and more.

Success breeds success! The Southern Six have emerged as the triumphant team in your 2024 National Wrestling Alliance Crockett Cup.
The July 16 NWA Powerrr, which saw Alex Taylor and Kerry Morton clinch the revered cup, is just one of many notable moves this week for the team. Today, NWA confirms that the members of The Southern Six have signed exclusive contracts!
“The Southern Six are poised to dominate the National Wrestling Alliance, daddy!” proclaims Hall of Famer Ricky Morton, the elder statesperson of the team which includes “The Thrillbilly” Silas Mason, Taylor and his son Kerry.
“The Crockett Cup is just a preview of what The Southern Six will bring to the NWA,” promises the elder Morton. “Now that the boys are contracted, prepare to relearn why they don’t make ‘em like ours any more!”
At 6’5” and close to 300 lbs, Mason stands tall amongst his Southern Six mates. A previous NWA National champion, “Big Daddy Thrill” pushed NWA World’s Heavyweight champion EC3 to the brim at the 2024 Hard Times Signature Live Event.
Kerry Morton, Ricky Morton’s descendent and former NWA World Junior Heavyweight champion, is a member of the illustrious NWA World Tag Team Champions, The Rock ‘n Roll Express. Since joining the group, Taylor’s stardom has been on the rise, quickly becoming a prominent singles contender and forming a formidable tag team threat with Kerry.
Taylor and Kerry Morton emerged victorious against The Immortals, Kratos and Odinson, in the renowned tag team tournament. The NWA Crockett Cup 2024 Signature Live Event, which took place on May 18 in Forney, Texas, was later broadcast courtesy of the NWA’s streaming collaboration with The CW.
Not only have The Southern Six committed to contracts exclusive to the National Wrestling Alliance, members have also confirmed their appearance at NWA 76, scheduled for August 31 in Philadelphia. Other notable personalities for the event include ‘HollyHood’ Haley J, the reigning OVW Women’s champion and Kayla Rossi.
Philly’s legendary 2300 Arena is slated to host NWA 76, the organization’s most renowned Signature Live Event of the year. The occasion, happening on Aug. 31, stands as the first NWA spectacle at the venue in three decades.
All NWA titles are anticipated to be at stake. The role that the 2024 Crockett Cup winners will play in the scenario is yet to be resolved, but all members of The Southern Six are expected to display their prowess.
