The National Wrestling Alliance (NWA) has confirmed that Trevor Murdoch, a renowned wrestling champion, has been signed on an exclusive contract with the company.

The official announcement states that Trevor Murdoch, a two-time NWA World’s Heavyweight Champion, will remain with the highly esteemed promotion. Having an exclusive contract with the NWA cements his position in the world of professional wrestling. Murdoch, hailing from Missouri and having two decades plus experience in the ring, has acquired the prestigious NWA World’s Heavyweight title twice.

Murdoch’s commitment to the company is significant. As quoted by NWA Chief Operating Officer Joe Galli, “Trevor Murdoch has essentially become the face of the National Wrestling Alliance in the Lightning One Era. Both as part of the wrestling match or as a key ‘locker room leader,’ he is an intrinsic part of this organization which we are pleased to confirm will stay with us for a considerable period.”

Murdoch’s connection to the NWA legend Harley Race, combined with his achievements as a two-time World’s Heavyweight champion, are indicative of his instrumental role in linking the NWA of the past to the vibrant wrestling brand it is today.

Murdoch’s feat also includes winning “The Ten Pounds of Gold” twice and emerging as a former National Heavyweight champion. He secured the revered Crockett Cup in 2023 alongside partner Mike Knox. On August 31, at NWA 76 in Philadelphia’s 2300 Arena, Murdoch and Knox will revive their rivalry with The Southern Six team, comprising of 2024 champions, Alex Taylor and Kerry Morton.

NWA’s significant Live Event, NWA 76, will be an opportunity for attendees to create unforgettable memories and engage in an evening of affordable fun. The event will also provide an opportunity for fans to meet and interact with NWA stars prior to the start of the event at no additional cost, with tickets now available.
