Read through the official announcement below:

“Earthquake and Typhoon, known collectively as The Natural Disasters, rank among the most physically formidable tag teams in the annals of professional wrestling. Both will be honored with induction into the WWE Hall of Fame as a part of the Class of 2025.

Forming an alliance in late 1990, Typhoon and Earthquake leveraged their colossal combined weight of nearly 900lbs to dominate WWE. As a tag team, they clinched the WWE Tag Team Titles and battled legends such as Money Inc., The Legion of Doom, and The Nasty Boys.

The Natural Disasters left an indelible impact on WWE history with their combination of wrestling prowess and sheer size. The duo held their own in a golden era of tag team wrestling, even joining forces with inaugural WWE Hall of Fame inductee Andre the Giant at one point.

Known for his genial disposition outside the ring, Earthquake was also a dual-sport collegiate athlete, please both football and wrestling at Louisiana State University. He initiated his wrestling career in Japan, becoming a respectable Sumo champion in addition to competing brilliantly in All Japan Pro Wrestling. Specializing in Hulk Hogan rivalry, Earthquake became popular worldwide for his enormous size. Sadly, he passed away in 2006.

On the other hand, Typhoon began his Championship Wrestling career in Florida with other Hall of Famers, including Diamond Dallas Page and Dusty Rhodes. He earned the promotion’s Heavyweight Title and married The American Dream’s sister, making him Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes’s uncle.

Known for their destructive abilities and fierce competitiveness, The Natural Disasters redefined tag team wrestling. Their induction into the WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2025 will eternally commemorate their exceptional contributions to professional wrestling.”
