Former WWE Superstar, Paul Wight – also known as “The Big Show,” made a comeback to the wrestling arena during the AEW Dynamite episode aired on 15th November. In an electrifying Like A Dragon Gaiden Street Fight, he teamed up with wrestling contemporaries Chris Jericho, Kenny Omega, and Kota Ibushi to claim victory against challengers Konosuke Takeshita, Brian Cage, Kyle Fletcher, and Powerhouse Hobbs.

Notably, the comeback match was action-packed with Wight successfully completing a chokeslam on Fletcher and engaging in a tough brawl with Hobbs. However, Wight’s time in the ring was cut short when he got slammed onto a car’s hood by Hobbs and was forced to retreat early.

Following his November match, Wight paired up with Jericho in a wrestling bout in January. Since this engagement, Wight has remained inactive in the wrestling scene. The 52-year-old wrestler’s appearance on AEW television has been rare for several months.

Details about Wight’s ongoing relationship with AEW were unveiled by Fightful Select. According to their report, Wight is “still technically there” within the company’s roster.

News of Wight’s status came after the departure of his ex-WWE adversary, Mark Henry, from AEW. Henry ended his affiliation with AEW in May, following the conclusion of his contract.
